Surasma Lamichhane

Surasma Lamichhane is a young human rights and climate justice advocate who is passionate about intersectional climate advocacy and inclusion. She is currently pursuing her Bachelors in Psychology and Social Work.
She actively engages in discussions related to social justice, gender, cyber safety and climate change. She also leads awareness campaigns related to Intersectional Environmentalism, Safe Cyber Space and Inclusivity in schools, organizations and diverse rural/urban communities of Nepal.
She is actively involved in community led interventions to empower marginalized communities of Nepal. She is also the Youth Activist Member of the Youth Activist Leadership Council organized by YUWA and Plan International Nepal, where she conducts and facilitates workshops, awareness sessions and events related to intersectional climate advocacy.
Through these different experiences, she has learned about the value of empathy, intersectional understanding and collaboration to foster environmental interventions. Surasma is highly dedicated to make a positive impact through climate advocacy and activism.
