Mehak Arora is a Junior at The University of Texas at Austin, where she is pursuing a dual degree in Sustainability Studies and Finance. She is passionate about climate innovation and the intersection of finance and environmental impact, with a focus on impact investing, capital in the energy transition, and ocean conservation. Mehak has advocated for both global and local environmental action, including voicing support for the High Seas Treaty at the Our Ocean Conference and promoting standardized environmental education in her home state of Texas. She is particularly focused on elevating inland perspectives within environmental movements and leading youth advocacy on issues such as water systems and plastic pollution in landlocked communities. As an EarthEcho Marine Plastics Ambassador, Mehak aims to expand inland youth advocacy by mobilizing students to address overlooked environmental challenges and drive policy-focused change in their communities.
