Rachel Kornhauser

Rachel is an enthusiastic environmental educator who has spent the past 10 years bringing environmental and outdoor learning opportunities to students around the world.  Rachel currently works as Program Manager at Global Nomads Group, engaging students from the United States in virtual exchanges with their international peers through discussions and activities relevant to climate change and sustainable energy.

Through her career Rachel has taught outdoor field studies to students in Brooklyn, NY, taught undergraduate Education students how to include hands-on science in their future classrooms, and produced live-stream webcasts from rural Tanzania to highlight the issues associated with water scarcity.  Rachel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Binghamton University and a Master’s degree in Earth Science Education from Hunter College.  She is honored to be on EarthEcho’s Learning, Education and Advisory Panel working with like-minded educators to encourage environmental awareness and action.
