Rajaa Berry

Lasalle, ON, Canada

Rajaa Berry is a youth climate advocate working at the intersection of water justice, gender equity, and climate resilience. The dual realities of climate-induced flooding, water insecurity, and underrepresented voices in decision-making spaces shape Rajaa’s work. She has served as a youth delegate with the Canadian delegation at COP29, co-authored gender-climate policy with UN Women, and worked on freshwater and marine conservation campaigns with World Ocean Day. Rajaa is also a member of Amnesty International’s National Youth Action and Advisory Committee, where she advocates for climate justice as a fundamental human right. Through roles with OCIC and UNAC, she has led youth consultations and developed policy rooted in equity and lived experience. Most recently, she tracked negotiations at SB62 with ClimaTalk, focusing on Nationally Determined Contributions and how equity and ambition are reflected in global climate commitments. Rajaa's work has led her to bridge global policy with grassroots realities and ensure that young people from conflict-affected and marginalized communities are heard.
