Sanjana Bhatta is a 17 year old highschool student from Hillsborough, New Jersey. Her passion for environmental sustainability started at the age of 8. She learned more about the climate crisis and directed her passion towards animal activism. She has worked with EarthEcho since her freshman year of highschool and is excited to continue doing so!

In specific, she is extremely passionate about legislation and public policy. Additionally, she is currently holding positions as a campaign fellow for Andy Kim for Senate and a political intern at NWF Strategies. She also works as a volunteer lobbyist and subcommittee chair for League of Women Voters NJ. In addition, she is clerking at a local law firm and is a social media intern at the Stoutsburg Sourland African American Museum. In terms of EarthEcho, she has spent the last two years as a Water Challenge Ambassador and acted as a mentor to the incoming class of water challenge ambassadors this previous year.

In her free time, she loves to read, hang out with her friends, play with her dog, and exercise.
