Expedition Fellow: Water By Design

I have known I wanted to teach since I was a child in Tennessee and I named all the ears of corn in the garden and pretended they were my students.  In my 20th year of teaching, and my seventh in the Environmental STEAM Magnet, I am thrilled to have colleagues and students who challenge me by engaging me in inquiry and emergent learning.  Teaching students about sustainability in our very urban environment, and listening to their ideas about how to be resilient in these times of tempting consumerism, yields projects, conversations, and community actions that make me feel hopeful for the future.
