Kevin Lin

Agent & Co-Head, Cultural Business Strategy Group, Creative Artists Agency (CAA)

Kevin Lin is a talent and literary agent at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), one of the world’s
leading entertainment and sports agencies, where he represents top actors, writers, directors, composers, and choreographers. His clients include Philippe Cousteau, Leslie Odom Jr., Matthew López, Celine Song, Ashley Park, Jordan E. Cooper, Whitney White, David Henry Hwang, Toby Marlow, Lucy Moss, Emilio Sosa, Kyle Hanagami, Danielle Brooks, and Freddy Wexler.

As Co-Head of CAA’s Cultural Business Strategy Group, Kevin leads companywide initiatives to maximize creative opportunities and business growth for the agency’s diverse clients while building best practices in corporate culture. He is also a leader within CAA Elevate, the agency's next-generation training program with a curriculum emphasizing entrepreneurialism, inclusion, curiosity, collaboration, and a growth mindset.

Kevin’s path to entertainment was anything but conventional. Born to science PhDs from China, he studied biology at Harvard University with plans to follow in his parents’ footsteps — until a friend introduced him to the American Repertory Theater and he was hooked. He joined CAA as an intern in 2012, and as a 25-year-old convinced Leslie Odom Jr., fresh off Hamilton, to entrust him with his career. He went on to sign Celine Song and Matthew López before either became internationally recognized filmmakers.

Kevin has been featured on Variety’s Inclusion Impact Report and The Hollywood Reporter’s
Next Gen 2025 list. He serves on the Board of Advisors for the American Theatre Wing and the American Repertory Theater, and is a graduate of Harvard University.
