Sophia Paone is a 20 year-old environmental science major from Westfield, New Jersey and a sophomore at Binghamton University. She cares deeply about sustainability and loves to be outside. As a child, Sophia was always enamored with the outdoors and after learning about the effects of climate change in middle school she wanted to get involved in any way possible. When deciding on a major, she knew that there was nothing more important to her than fighting for the things she loved. Sophia is a member of multiple climate advocacy clubs and is currently an intern for Zero Hour Binghamton. Sophia is interested in performing observational studies, specifically how animals interact with the changing climate and hopes to one day take that interest into the field. As a Plastic Ambassador for EarthEcho, she hopes to spread awareness and make change in her community.
