Santhosh Kavula is a high school student from Frisco, Texas, and an environmental advocate passionate about youth leadership and climate education. His interest in environmental issues grew from learning about how pollution and climate change affect communities and ecosystems. Santhosh has worked on projects focused on environmental awareness and sustainability, including efforts to promote climate education in schools and reduce pollution in local communities. He is especially interested in addressing plastic pollution and supporting youth-led solutions to environmental challenges. As an EarthEcho Marine Plastics Ambassador, Santhosh hopes to educate other students about the impacts of plastic waste, organize community initiatives that reduce plastic use, and encourage young people to take action in their own communities. Outside of his environmental work, Santhosh enjoys reading, swimming, and participating in Scouting.
