Yarubi Fernandez's intended major is Geology at Stony Brook University, with a passion for environmental conservation and youth leadership. Their interests developed through hands-on projects with the National Park Service and the Student Conservation Association, as well as involvement with marine life in her work study. Yarubi has learned leadership skills through her time in Junior ROTC, a military high school program. As an EarthEcho Ambassador, Yarubi hopes to inspire other young people to engage in environmental protection, raise awareness about conservation, and help protect both land and marine environments for future generations.
