Riya is a junior at Souderton Area High School and is interested in biochemistry and the environment.

As a science fair participant, Riya has explored the area of bioremediation in the environment using natural remedies to reduce the effects of microplastics in soil. Riya is also a Chief Science Officer at school, where she raises awareness for the field of STEM and educates children. Through this, she has organized STEM Fair Nights at her local Boys and Girls Club.

In her free time, Riya enjoys reading, playing soccer, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
