Renee Mungal
Renee Mungal is a senior Journalism student with a strong foundation in environmental science, marine conservation, and public education. She has held impactful roles with the New York Aquarium and the Billion Oyster Project, where she engaged visitors and community members in conversations about local ecosystems, marine life, and environmental stewardship. These experiences sparked her passion for making science more approachable and inspired her to pursue a path that blends storytelling with public engagement.
In addition to her hands-on experience, Renee has been recognized for her commitment to climate action. She was honored to serve as a youth advocate for WCS, where she contributed to discussions on sustainability and environmental policy. This role underscored her dedication to advocating for environmental issues both locally and internationally.
