​​I am a high school student from Hawaii, though I currently live in Virginia. I love movies, musicals, classical literature, and anything involving nature. I grew up surrounded by the beautiful beaches and tropical rainforests of Oahu. I also saw firsthand the ongoing destruction of our planet's most gorgeous places and the suffering of those who inhabit it (both human and non-human). I see this program as an opportunity to make a difference in a world that sorely needs it, on a topic that is greatly underestimated and widely misunderstood.
