My name is Kira, and I am from Brooklyn, NY. I enjoy creative writing, painting, giving back to my community, and meeting new people. I would like to be a water challenge ambassador because clean water is a basic human right that millions still do not have. I really appreciate that EarthEcho is focused on youth—it is our generation that has the urgency and the applicable innovation to address local to global water challenges. Being an ambassador, I could help involve my community to engage in local water monitoring and conservation efforts while communicating nuanced sometimes complex datasets to ultimately effect real change. Water influences every part of our lives and I would like to bring awareness to others and give them the opportunity to participate in conserving this finite natural resource.
