Jarelys N. Merle Crespo was born on October 11, 2007, in Puerto Rico. Since childhood, she has felt a deep connection to the ocean and nature. She loves to paint, write, explore her island, and appreciate the little details of the world around her. She describes herself as a creative and dedicated person, with a heart full of passion and joy for the things she loves.Over the years, she has worked on various environmental and educational projects focused on understanding and protecting marine ecosystems. These experiences have strengthened her commitment to effect positive change and have fueled her desire to keep learning, creating, and taking meaningful action. As a Blue Carbon Ambassador, her goal is to contribute ideas, support the restoration of vital coastal habitats like mangroves and seagrasses, and connect with other young people who dream of a more sustainable and just future. She believes that love, action, and awareness can help transform Puerto Rico into a place where nature and people thrive together. With resourcefulness, dedication, and hope, she’s ready to be part of the movement that builds a better world—one rooted in purpose, resilience and care.
