Divya is a Finance student at the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Marine Plastics Ambassador - 2024 Cohort with EarthEcho International. Passionate about the intersection of environmental advocacy and community action, she has led initiatives including a zero-waste lunchbox campaign aimed at reducing single-use plastic consumption in her local community, in addition to working on intiatives with Univeristy of Toronto Trash Team. Alongside her environmental work, Divya is the founder of CodeCrew, a nonprofit that has reached over 200 underrepresented students through coding education, reflecting her broader commitment to building more equitable and sustainable communities. As an Ambassador, she aims to mobilize her peers around ocean conservation, translate environmental data into accessible and compelling storytelling, and demonstrate that young people can lead meaningful change. Divya believes that protecting our planet requires the same rigor, creativity, and collaboration that drives progress in every other field she pursues.
