Dionicio Lawrence (Dio for short) is currently and proudly attending Chief Kitsap Academy, a school run by the Suquamish Tribe, of which they are a member. Dio is deeply interested in the ocean and all its related sciences. This interest stems from both their parents heavily encouraging education, and the area they grew up in providing countless opportunities to learn about marine ecosystems, seeing as it is in one. Dio currently volunteers and works part-time for a non-profit providing free after-school music education called Kids In Concert, and also grew up in the program. WIth this love for the ocean, and a history in volunteer work, the Blue Carbon Ambassadorship was a golden opportunity. Dio is very excited to be a Blue Carbon Ambassador and hopes to learn a lot from the experience, both to be able to teach others and to continue in the field.
