Claire Nelson is a rising senior attending Ohio University studying Political Science and Environmental Science and Sustainability. Claire’s passion for sustainability and advocacy began as her love of travel flourished. From scuba diving in Krabi, Thailand to Backpacking in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Claire is very active outdoors. This sparked a deep appreciation for nature and a desire to preserve it. She is most passionate about marine conservation efforts, and works to protect ocean ecosystems, care for coral health, defend wildlife, and promote clean beaches. As an EarthEcho Plastics Ambassador, she aims to create and implement innovative solutions to plastics issues. She will be living in Stuart, Florida working work with the local community and elected officials to implement real change.
