Ayleah VanBarriger is an marine science enthusiast and dedicated advocate for ocean conservation currently completing her senior year in Charleston, South Carolina. With aspirations to become a marine biologist she is committed to advancing the protection and understanding of marine ecosystems through both scientific research and community
engagement.

Rooted in a connection to the coastal environment she calls home, Ayleah VanBarriger has gained hands on experience through internships with the South Carolina Aquarium, Coastal Expeditions, and Pet Helpers. These opportunities have given her practical knowledge in wildlife rehabilitation, environmental education, and coastal stewardship.

As an Ocean Protection Ambassador she seeks to raise awareness about the threats facing marine life and to promote sustainable practices among her community and is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of ocean stewards.
