Autumn Vetter
Autumn is an 18-year-old environmental advocate from Auburn, Indiana. Autumn is a senior at DeKalb High School. She plans to pursue a college degree in biology, focusing on ecology, a science field dedicated to the relationships between the environment and organisms. Her passion for ecology came from many experiences, primarily with the Fort Wayne Zoo. As a volunteer, Autumn engaged with several departments, such as animal behavior, horticulture, and public relations. As Autumn volunteered, she developed relationships — encouraging a future based in conservation. From here, Autumn joined several activities, leading her to the EarthEcho Youth Ambassador program. Autumn aims to learn more about policy and conservation action on a community level, hoping to implement these ideas into her future work. Outside of conservation and volunteering, Autumn enjoys painting and watching documentaries, both of which are often focused on her favorite species: fish.
