New York
Angelica Wong is an environmental advocate based in New York City, where she was born and raised. She is currently a senior in high school and preparing for Macaulay Honors College at Baruch.
Angelica has an extensive background in environmental advocacy and is a passionate learner about all things sustainability. She was first immersed into this field as a Discovery Guide Volunteer at the New York Aquarium, and then through a summer study abroad in the Netherlands to research smart cities and sustainability.
Most recently, she was a Discovery Guide Intern and Youth Ocean Advocate Intern at the New York Aquarium. She helped connect New Yorkers to their environment and gathered continued support for the proposal to turn the Hudson Canyon into a Marine Sanctuary. With the Climate and Resilience Education Task Force (CRETF) under the National Wildlife Federation, she is helping to fund climate education in New York State schools through advocacy and lobbying. Under EarthEcho, Angelica is excited to work towards 30x30 and continue gathering public support for the Hudson Canyon.
