Angel Mosqueda

Angel Mosqueda is a recent graduate of Elmhurst University from Chicago, where he studied Economics and Political Science. He is passionate about environmental justice and advancing policy solutions to address plastic pollution and protect vital water resources. Angel has worked with the Alliance for the Great Lakes, leading beach cleanups, promoting community stewardship, and has also planted native vegetation to support local ecosystems. He is currently interning in a congressional district office, where he is gaining firsthand exposure to constituent services and the practical realities of federal policymaking. As an EarthEcho Marine Plastics Ambassador, Angel aims to advance evidence-based strategies that reduce single-use plastics and engage both communities and policymakers in meaningful environmental action. Outside of his work, he brings a background in the service industry that informs his collaborative and people-centered approach to leadership.
