Alex Pujadas is a 22-year-old ocean enthusiast from Barcelona who has been passionate about the sea for as long as he can remember, first falling in love with it through nature documentaries and beach days as a kid. But it was during his very first SCUBA dive that he knew he wanted to dedicate his life to protecting it. Since then, Alex has worked in the impact investing sector and founded Reefing Project, a marine conservation initiative built on three main pillars.

The first and most important is a community of nearly 500 divers, with whom he organizes marine conservation activities along the Mediterranean coast such as underwater cleanups, biodiversity monitoring, and gorgonian restoration dives. The second pillar involves collaborations with coral restoration projects around the world, building relationships that help increase their visibility and showcase their work to Reefing Project’s audience. Finally, Reefing Project organizes Dive Adventures: international scuba diving trips focused on marine conservation, especially coral restoration, developed in partnership with local initiatives.
