Alana Fisher
Alana is going into her 4th year at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee where she studies Public Health with a certificate in Cultures and Communities. Born and raised in the city of Milwaukee, Alana found her interest in nature originally from the many parks that surround the city's landscape. She later learned her love for Lake Michigan and the other 3 rivers that run through Milwaukee after volunteering for the annual river cleanup with a local organization (Milwaukee Riverkeepers). Last summer, she worked with the Natural Resource Foundation of Wisconsin and was an intern under the host organization The Nature Conservancy (Urban Storyteller and Conservation Intern). Now she tries her best to engage with the outdoors whether it's through nature walks, presentations or just volunteering.
