Jaelynn Figueroa
Jaelynn Figueroa is a first-year student at the University of South Florida studying environmental science and policy concentrating in sustainability. Growing up in Florida, allowed for a deeper understanding of the effects human activity has on the environment and from a young age she has felt a call to help.
Jaelynn has spent time working on several environmental projects such as Path for Panthers which called state legislators to build wildlife crossings for the endangered Florida panther to allow safer paths when crossing highways. Jaelynn has participated in local clean-ups to better her community. She has also written environmental pieces as a call to action in regards to pollution, climate issues, and threats to wildlife.
In addition to environmental work, Jaelynn also has a passion for the arts. She wants to use her writing to spread awareness about the state of the environment and make an impact in the world.
