EarthEcho at The UN Ocean Conference
EarthEcho International will participate in the 2025 United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice, France, from June 7-13, as we champion the role of youth leadership and collaboration in the global movement to protect and restore our ocean planet. The Conference represents a critical and timely opportunity to elevate the voices of young ocean advocates, accelerate implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14, and strengthen international momentum behind ambitious ocean governance frameworks, including the ratification of the High Seas Treaty and the advancement of the global 30x30 target.
Our team will be represented in Nice by youth delegates from our Europe cohort of Ocean Protection Ambassadors, Adélaïde Landrier (France) and Kjeld Werther (The Netherlands), EarthEcho Youth Leadership Council member, Taylor Cargill (The Bahamas), and EarthEcho team and advisors Philippe and Ashlan Cousteau, Stacey Rafalowski, and Sean Russell.

We also will be joined by alumni from our programs and members of our broader GenSea community stand alongside policymakers, NGO leaders, scientists, and community members in Nice to highlight youth-led solutions and forge meaningful partnerships to advance our shared ocean agenda.
Interested in connecting with our team on the ground in Nice to learn more about our work and explore opportunities for collaboration? Contact Sean Russell at srussell@earthecho.org and follow us on social media @EarthEcho for updates throughout the week.
