Environmental Project-Based Learning in the STEM Classroom

Join explorer and environmental advocate, Philippe Cousteau, to discuss how to engage students in dialogue and action around the world’s most salient environmental issues using project-based learning as a primary strategy. Environmental problems provide a robust platform for students to integrate STEM disciplines and apply learning to real-world solutions.
Participants will:

1) discuss best practices of project-based learning and service learning related to the environment and STEM disciplines;

2) learn how to begin a project-based learning unit using the content resources of EarthEcho Expeditions; and

3) explore how EarthEcho’s model equips students to become the next generation of environmental citizens.
