Beyond Dead Zones

From Sept 16th - 20th Philippe Cousteau Jr. and the EarthEcho Expeditions team will be in South Florida examining the impacts of ocean acidification and eutrophication on critical habitats in South Florida and around the world. Follow along on social media as Philippe travels from the Florida Keys to the Everglades meeting with scientists and students from around the world to go Beyond Dead Zones.

While in South Florida there are two opportunities for classrooms to join us virtually LIVE.

World Water Monitoring Day Hangout - September 18th, 10:30am EDT

Join Philippe Cousteau as he works with South American students from World Learning, Inc. to celebrate World Water Monitoring Day. Together they will discuss the importance of water quality monitoring while demonstrating proper methods for sampling water in the field. Classrooms tuning in can ask questions live on air and share the results of their own water sampling.

Water Issues Town Hall Meeting -- September 19th, 2:15pm EDT

Philippe Cousteau Jr. and EarthEcho board member Josh Carrera will host a "town hall" style discussion with high school students from around the world. Join in to have your voices heard on important water quality issues affecting communities all across our water planet. Students and classrooms following along will be able to participate via Twitter and have their thoughts and questions read and answered live on air.
