US OURECHO CHALLENGE - TEAM ENTRY FORM

The entry submission deadline for the OurEcho Challenge is 11:59 PM ET on April 26, 2024.

The OurEcho Challenge is a STEM competition that empowers young leaders, ages 13-16, to take a closer look at biodiversity in their communities. Teams will first identify threats to local ecosystems and then propose solutions to help preserve, protect, or repair those natural resources.

Youth entering the OurEcho Challenge can submit an entry as an individual or as part of a team of up to three (3) peers. All team members must provide their email addresses, a parent’s email address and are encouraged to provide the contact information of a potential adult mentor at their school or orgarnization. Mentors can be traditional educators, parents, homeschool instructors, and/or adult facilitators of more informal learning environments. The US OurEcho Challenge is offered only within the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.

The following entry form must be completed in a single session and partially completed entry forms cannot be saved for later. It is recommended that teams review the entry form and all materials first, then gather the applicable entry materials on their computer prior to the session to complete and submit the entry form. A paper and electronic version of the entry form can be found here. In order to ensure that teams are meeting the basic requirements for a qualifying entry, we encourage teams to use the Project Planning Worksheet, Challenge Checklist & Winning Tips and review the Official US Rules prior to hitting "submit."

NOTE: Do not include any bulleted or numbered lists in your narrative entry.

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED BY APRIL 26, 2024, 11:59 PM EASTERN.

Up to 10 finalist teams will be chosen and notified in mid May 2024

Please note that EarthEcho International reserves the right in its sole discretion to further modify the timing of the OurEcho Challenge and/or the format/timing of the Finalist Event. If such changes are deemed prudent, the new timing and/or format will be noted in the Official Rules and on this website..

This competition is open to young leaders, ages 13-16, located within the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.

If your team is selected as a finalist, you understand that all team members, must virtually attend the following sessions:
 May 21, 2024, 7 PM ET: Finalist Announcement Meeting
 June 27, 2024, 4 PM - 7 PM ET (Specific Team Times TBD): Finalist Q & A with Expert Judges
 July 2, 2024, 1 PM ET: OurEcho Challenge Final Event, Winning Teams Announced
