Lyla is a 16 year old rising senior from Cocoa Beach, Florida. Growing up on the Banana River Lagoon has helped her develop a passion for the environment and water quality, as well as a huge love for animals. She loves to surf, hike, and travel, and she is a varsity lacrosse player and cross country runner. She also spends time volunteering at the Brevard Zoo, which has helped her learn more about environmental issues in her area. This, along with watching the declining water quality in her local river, has fueled her passion for environmental conservation. She is very excited to work with EarthEcho to make a positive change in her community!
