EarthEcho International is thrilled to be working with the National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland Sea Grant, and the Institute for Learning Innovation to lead a pioneering Community Action Campaign in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. All of our other work - media development and distribution, supporting the careers and aspirations of creative communicators, and encouraging connections between critical messaging about sustainability and commercial endeavors - come together in this inspirational, solutions-modeling collaborative that encourages sustainable action with relation to the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.
This groundbreaking campaign combines the strengths of social marketing, environmental education, and sustainable behavior modeling, with storytelling, consumerism and commercially- viable popular media to support green action. The ultimate goal of the Campaign is to change the way people act with regard to environmental impact; encouraging people to adopt behaviors that are more consistent with a sustainable future. Such behaviors include adopting sustainable consumer action such as buying socio-environmentally friendly products, getting active in local and federal politics, and volunteering in their communities. This program also includes a research and evaluation component that will create metrics for tracking action that individuals engage in as a result of exposure to this campaign.
