Africa-Entry 16
It was a bit of a late start for me today, a bunch of us decided that a local bar was a very pleasant way to spend several…several hours last night. It was undoubtedly the best night we have all had together and a much deserved bit of fun. The day started blissfully late for me, until I decided to head off down to the beach for a little recon. A bunch of the crew were engaged in various activities, from photographing, to surfing, swimming, running, etc. The day was thus spent relaxing, catching up on research and swimming in what is one of the most beautiful bays I have ever seen. I am really impressed with Mozambique, the people are super friendly and the food, thank goodness, is really tasty. Some of us decided to go into Inhambane today and had lunch near the harbour at a really great little restaurant. Mozambique was a Portuguese colony until the 1970’s and it still retains the language and much of the architecture. Even the food is influenced by Europe, which is not a bad thing in my book. It was a great day and everyone really deserved it.
Beyond that, there isn’t much to say, so goodnight.
