Africa-Entry 14

Dec 9th Dar Harbor.JPGWe arrived early in Dar es Salaam this morning and got started with the last few interviews and packed pretty early. That’s good news because the tide is very drastic here and we only have a small window to off-load gear in. By 3PM we were done packing all 99 cases of equipment and loaded them onto small zodiacs for the transfer to shore. All in all, it was very hot, sweaty work and took several hours. By the time we got to the hotel near the airport, we were exhausted.

Dec 9th The Oceans team Web L to R Paul, Lucy, Tooni, Philippe Web.JPGAfter two weeks of boat food we were also all very hungry for something other than grilled fish and eggplant ratatouille. So we found a good restaurant, thanks to our awesome fixer Matt Richmond, and everyone pigged out. Then we went to a local bar for a small wrap party but didn’t last long, as we were all so tired. By midnight we were all back and in bed; tomorrow is an early one. We all have to fly to Johannesburg and then charter a flight up to Mozambique for the next adventure.
