Whether its the pygmy seahorse Hippocampus pontoh, Hippocampus bargibanti, or Hippocampus denise these animals are small, cute and perfectly camouflaged. The smallest one I photographed is Hippocampus pontoh (last 2 pictures above) and he was all of 1-2cm.

There was so much to see — from the mating nudibranchs to sea snakes, to the upside down jellyfish, wobegon shark, sleeping parrot fish (in cocoon), large fan corals, giant clam and much much more….oh and dont forget me.

In Indonesia anything goes. Thats right, in the afternoon the one runway of Sorong’s airport transforms into a playground where many local people hang out buy food and play soccer. Even though language was a barrier I felt I was able to befriend, (even if only briefly) many of the locals as we kicked the ball around until the sun set.

Wow!!!! This is one of the most majestic animals I have ever been fortunate to meet. For about an hour we swam underwater together. They would circle up and back around me time and time again. I am sure they were as curious of me as I of them. I can only imagine what they were thinking.

This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever traveled too. It was like a taste of heaven.

These majestic temples were spiritual and inspiring. It’s hard to believe that for centuries nature could conceal such beauty and that they were left undiscovered for hundreds of years.

These people traveled to parts of Cambodia in anticipation of a job and the opportunity to work in the rice fields. These temporary homes are made using plastic – all that they could afford for shelter from the blistering hot sun and evening tropical rain.
