Heiko Henning is currently the Vice President of New Buisness Initiatives for Blackbaud. In this role, Mr. Henning leads the business unit in driving its go-to-market strategy, defining the product and solution portfolio, and executing all aspects of product marketing and marketing communications across both traditional and digital marketing channels. He also leads the partnership and channel strategy for the business unit.
Mr. Henning has been with Blackbaud since 2003. Prior to his current role, he served as Vice President of Consulting, joining the company to build its Enterprise consulting practice and drive growth in its Emerging Markets businesses, including the internet solutions segment. Prior to Blackbaud, he served as Director of Business Development, running new market entry and business development for Trilogy Software’s New Markets in Austin, Texas, as well as Managing Partner of the Chicago office of Lante Corporation, a leading internet start-up consultancy. He also spent five years at the management consultancy McKinsey & Co, most recently as a Senior Engagement Manager serving clients across industries on high-tech offering and technology strategy issues. Prior to McKinsey, Mr. Henning worked in product development and product management at a number of technology firms and start-ups.
Mr. Henning’s experience cuts across business strategy and technology enablement, driving alignment of business objectives and market strategy while effectively leveraging new technology. His focus is on applying new technologies, such as digital and integrated marketing, social media, and cloud computing, to driving organizational effectiveness and competitive differentiation. He hold a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Master’s of Business Administration in Marketing and International Business Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
In his free time, Mr. Henning has volunteered for numerous non-profit organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, the ASPCA, the South Carolina Aquarium, and the Coast Conservation League. He has a passion for the environment, digital photography, and kite boarding.
