Mia DeMezza joined EarthEcho International in 2006 and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in July 2007. Mia has long been invested in the work of non-profit organizational management. Prior to joining EarthEcho International, she oversaw professional development programs for arts organizations, most recently as the director of leadership initiatives with Americans for the Arts, and previously in the education department of the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts. Mia is a graduate of Northwestern University with degrees in Comparative Literary Studies and Italian, and has also worked for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's European Medical Division in Pittsburgh, PA, and Palermo, Sicily. She has served on The Arlington Players' board of directors, the Goucher College Master of Arts in Arts Administration advisory committee, and remains active whenever possible in the Washington, DC, area community theatre scene.
